Hijau rationale for the selected category in not more than 70 words.
Prior to 2008, Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) Conversion business is still in its infancy stage. People are pre-dominately addicted to Petrol fuel, and very slowly adopting to alternative fuel, such as natural gas. Thus, it is appropriate to select the SME Rising Star Award, as NGV is a rising star against Petrol. It is well known that ‘NGV – Best Alternative to Petrol’ in Malaysia and around ASEAN region. Perhaps, Malaysians are just unawared or hopeful that petrol will return to RM1.92 per liter in the future. NGV is the next rising star, and Hijau selects it to represent the RISING (or emergence) of this SME Industry.
